Our Senior Reminiscence Program has been providing senior citizens with vital opportunities for memory-recall and group learning since its inception in 2005. We are spending this time reflecting on the tremendous growth our Senior Reminiscence Program has seen this past year. Thanks to the generous support of donors like you, we have been able to:
- Expand our service area to include facilities in nine central Illinois counties—McLean, Livingston, DeWitt, Logan, Tazewell, Woodford, Ford, Sangamon and Peoria
- Create an increase in the number of programs, organizations, and seniors served by our program
- Expand our program to include new topics such as Route 66 and women's fashion
Senior citizens are one of the fastest-growing demographics in the country. In fact, the senior citizen population is expected to double in the next 20 years. Yet, in spite of this, it remains one of the most under-served populations. Our Senior Reminiscence Program has presented nearly 460 programs to over 8,700 seniors since it began. Your continued support allows us to provide these programs entirely free-of-charge.
